In-house Production

Join us on a tour of our facilities and see the thorough checks and inspections every bike undergoes before it arrives at your doorstep in top condition. For us, “top condition” means a professionally refurbished bike in perfect working order! And of course, we provide the legally required one-year warranty.

Our Refurbishment Process in 7 Steps

First Check

Now things are really getting started!

Once the bike arrives, it undergoes a thorough initial inspection.

Here, we assess its current condition and identify any defects or issues, which are then repaired at the next station.

Workshop

In the workshop, our trained mechanics meticulously maintain every bicycle and handle any necessary repairs. All wear-and-tear parts—such as chains or belts, chainrings and cassettes, or brake pads and rotors—are inspected. Suspension forks, shocks, and hydraulic seatposts are also tested. Components that no longer meet our quality standards are replaced with parts from reputable manufacturers. These replacement parts are of excellent quality but may differ from the original parts in certain details.

Bonus Round: E-Bike

We’ll take a closer look at e-bikes separately.

Every e-bike receives a software update. For popular brands like Bosch, Shimano, and Specialized, mileage and charge cycles are recorded so they can be listed in the online store later.

We’re working on making this information available for all brands in the future.

Second Check

We're playing it safe!

During the second check, the bike is thoroughly inspected from front to back and all functions are tested to ensure that the brakes no longer squeak and the gears shift smoothly.

Cleaning

Before the photo shoot, the bike needs to go through the cleaning process—more specifically, to our cleaning station.

Here, every bike is cleaned thoroughly yet gently, as we use low-pressure washers.

Photo Studio

Final push!

We’re all about full transparency.

We take high-resolution photos so you can use the zoom function to get a clear picture of the bike’s condition and spot any cosmetic flaws. Our bikes are photographed as they are when sold.

Delivery

Almost done!

Before the bike can be shipped to you, it needs to be prepared for safe transport. We prioritize sustainability and avoid unnecessary waste. In most cases, we can do without bulky bike boxes. Instead, we use reusable paper padding or blankets to protect the handlebars or suspension fork.
Accessories such as pedals or chargers are delivered in a small separate box.

The four-eyes principle means better service.

Our refurbishment process involves many hands and eyes, all of which scrutinize your bike from different angles.

What happens next?

In most cases, we deliver your bike directly to your doorstep using our own bike logistics. This gives us complete control over the entire refurbishment process from start to finish, and we take full responsibility for ensuring your new bike arrives in top-notch condition.
